Final Weekend!!

Well the Whiplash Ladies have made it to their final weekend of regular season play. The U9 ladies play saturday in Mt Pleasant  at 4:15 and our U14 ladies finish up sunday at 3:30 at River Oaks. It has been a very successful season for all  the Whiplash Ladies and everyone should be proud of them. For the U9 ladies this is their last game but the U12 an U14 ladies have one last weekend to play in the James Island Cup. Lets send lots of support their way as they play in this end of season tournament.

Final Month

We are entering our last four weeks of the regular season and things are going strong for the Whiplash Ladies! Our U9 girls won their first game last weekend with a large group of the older girls cheering them on to victory! Our U14 girls are back in action this weekend after a weekend off and the U12 girls are headed out to Hampton-Varnville to take on the Black Widows in a game that could lock our girls in solidly in first place!
Fundraising update: We are proud to announce that after two weekends of bake sales and three weekends of garage sales we have achieved our goal and raised enough money for the Whiplash teams to play in the James Island Cup! Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this effort a success.
Logo update: Our logo is finaly complete and ready to be put on the girls jerseys and some warmups. Sweaters and fleeces will also be available to anyone else who wants to support the Whiplash Ladies! Congratulations again to Taylor Edwards onher award winning design!

Another Busy Weekend

This will be another busy weekend for the Whiplash ladies. The past two weekends have been filled with bake sales and games. Both went great; the bake sale was ahuge success and the girls had a victorious weekend! This weekend will be nonstop again as our U9 and U14 girls both play at 9am at River Oaks. Our U12 girls play a doubleheader on James Island at 10:30 and 3. Lets wish all the ladies luck as they play in this beauthiful weather!! GO WHIPLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 3

This weekend is going to be a busy one for Whiplash Soccer. The U-9 team plays at 10:15 at Summerville Soccer Club in their second game of the season. The U-14 girls head back to walterboro to play at 11:30 against a team from savannah, georgia. The action continues on sunday as our U-12 team plays in James Island at 2:30. The final game has our U-9 team playing their second game of the weekend at 4:30 at River Oaks Middle. Lets wish all three teams good luck this weekend and come out and support the Whiplash ladies if you have some time. GO WHIPLASH!!

Week Two

The girls practiced hard this week to get ready for their second week of action. Our U-9 girls play their first game at 9am at River Oaks. The U-12 girls play at 9am at Cario Middle School and our U-14 girls play at 1 in Walterboro. Lets wish them luck this weekend and come out and support the girls if you can because the weather will be beautiful!!! GO WHIPLASH!!!!!

Opening Weekend!!!

This weekend will be the start of the season. We have 3 teams playing with the Whiplash name! A U9 team, a U12 team and a U14 team!!!

The schedule for this weekend is as follows:

U12 girls play at River Oaks at 9:00

U9 girls play at River Oaks Middle School at 10:15
U14 girls play at James Island Youth Soccer Club at 12 noon

3v3 World Cup in Myrtle Beach

After both teams competed in Myrtle Beach for the World Cup for 3v3 soccer, the standings are as follows;

Whiplash 1 (Morgan, Mary, Bri, Olivia, Sarah, and Lexi) -4th Place
Whiplash 2 (Danielle, Emily, Ashley, Shayla, Jessie)-5th place

They all did wonderful and should be very proud of themselves for getting themselves that far!!!! Thanks go out to the dads who helped coach the girls along with Matt and Joe Paige!!!

We are looking forward to the start of the fall season and hope all the girls have a good start to the school year!!!!!

JUNE 26TH 3v3

Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day for soccer! The morning started out fairly comfortable before the heat finally set in on everyone. All the girls played great and two teams made it the semis. With 4 or 5 games played in summer heat we should be very proud of all the results!

June 26th 3v3

The time is here for another 3v3 tournament. The girls will be playing this saturday at the Summerville Soccer Club. There will be sixteen girls participating this weekend on three teams. This will be our last 3v3 in preparation for the 3v3 World Cup in Myrtle Beach August 7th and 8th. Spread the word and come out to support the girls. A link to the schedules will be posted by friday night. See everyone on the fields saturday!!!!

Memorial Day 3v3

This Monday the girls will participate in their first 3v3 tournament of the summer. There will be 26 girls playing on 5 different teams!! This tournament will be a great warmup for the 3v3 tournaments ahead this summer. Come out to James Island Soccer Club and support the girls if you can! Games start at 9a.m and run all day. Good luck to all the girls playing!

Congratulations to our girls for ending the season in 1st place!!! They have all done such a great job this season and earned it!!!

Robbie Owens Tournament

Well here it is, the Robbie Owens Memorial Tournament update. And the result is................................................. THEY ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

Here is the breakdown of the weekend:

Saturday Game One: 6-2

Sunday Game Three:2-1

Sunday FINALS: 2-1

We are so proud of the way the girls played this weekend! They are really playing top notch soccer and are on a solid path to their end of the season tournament. Keep your eyes out for the schedule because these girls are on fire and its going to be an explosive end to the season!

TOURNAMENT TIME!!!

Last Wednesday the girls had their last official game of the season!! They played a great game and pulled off another win 1-0! Way to go Ladies!!! As of right now the team has a strong chance of ending their season in first place!!! A special thanks goes out to Savannah's mom, Danielle, for taking some awesome action shots of the girls last game! We hope she is planning on taking some more!!! We made a slideshow of the pictures she took, so hope you get a chance to check them out!!

Also dont forget, the Robbie Owens Memorial Tournament is this weekend! Look for the schedule on Wednesday as we will post it then!!

Lemonade Sale/Fundraiser Big Success!!!

Today Morgan and Mary set up a lemonade stand outside our subdivision! We sold Lemonade, Sodas, Water and Popsicles! They planned this all week long, made flyers, cardboard cutouts of soccer balls and lemonade glasses! Their siblings came out and helped draw customers to the stand!!! After business slowed in our subdivision, we packed it all up and carried it out to the Anytime Fitness on Ladson Rd to sell the remainder of our inventory! Big thanks go out to Christy Bennett for letting us set up in front of her gym to do this! She was also nice enough to put our team picture on her Anytime Fitness Website...check it out!!! It was a huge success! They raised $89.80! Way to go girls!!! This money will be set aside for the next tournament! But it just goes to show that it does pay off to do little things like that!!! They are very proud of themselves for raising that much money as are we!!!! Way to go girls!!! Hope the rest of the team is doing their part in raising money also!!! Please share your fundraising adventures as we love to hear about them!!! Thanks to all that have helped make this a great success!!! GIVE TWO FOR THE BLUE!!!

We're getting closer to our goal of $450.00 for the upcoming tournament in April! But dont give up yet!!!

And remember....the donations we recieve should not be from the parents of the players. The objective is to help offset the cost of the tournament fees for each player and their family! Please remind anyone who donates that it is tax deductible because they are donating to a NON PROFIT Organization! So spread the word to your family members, close friends, and anyone you know! Just make sure whatever you do is ok by your parents!!!!

We hope to get if not one then maybe a handfull of sponsors for the upcoming tournaments this year. So if you know anyone who owns a business and can afford to do so, please let them know! Any amount is appreciated!

The girls are once again off to Mt. Pleasant for an early game. Wish them luck and pray that the bugs stay away! Go Whiplash!

Piggly Wiggly Tournament

We had a great tournament this weekend and are very proud of the girls for playing so well! They ended up in second place! They played their hearts out and left it all on the field! Prior to the playoffs, every other team in our bracket ended every game in a tie. Our team was the only one who won more then one game despite ending the first game in a tie!!!
The results are: Saturday:
1st game: Tied 0-0
2nd game: Won 3-1
Sunday:
1st game: Won 2-0
2nd game: Lost 2-0

The team was able to participate in the parade of teams at the Charleston Battery game on Saturday and had a great time doing so.



There is a tournament in Mid April and we are trying to cut the cost of the tournament fees for the team to participate! In doing so, we have created a paypal account for the team for anyone who is able to donate any amount to help with this. So spread the word to friends and family! The donation is tax deductible and any amount would be greatly appreciated!!! We have already raised a little bit just by simply mentioning it and have been very impressed and greatful for the feedback we have recieved so far! So help the team out!!! They deserve every bit of it!!!

PIGGLY WIGGLY TOURNAMENT

Come out and support The Whiplash Soccer team. They will be participating in the 2010 Piggly Wiggly Tournament this weekend (March 20th and 21st)in Mt Pleasant.

The game times are as follows:

Saturday @ 1145-Old Wando High School
Saturday @ 330-Park West

Following the game we will be attending the Carolina Challenge Cup at Blackbaud Stadium in Daniel Island. The team will be allowed to partake in the parade of teams before the start of the 715 game!!!
